Bathroom: Bathroom Remodeling

Bathroom Remodeling.

Many smaller projects which may fit into the “upgrading” category- like replacing vanity cabinet, faucet and toilet or perhaps installing new tile flooring, maybe adding a crown molding etc.- are relatively simple to do.

However, extensive remodeling will be more complicated, especially if includes major changes such as relocating of plumbing fixtures and installing additional features. It will require carefully planning following your local building codes. There is specific minimal distance required between each of the bathroom fixtures. Additional plumbing adjustments may have to be performed, including relocating water pipes and drains. It could also trigger major electrical changes, custom tile work, wall coverings and finishing carpentry.

Typical bathroom contain bathtub/shower, toilet and sink with mirror or medicine chest. Larger bathrooms with additional features are gaining popularity. These features may include steam room inside the shower cabin, heated floor, whirlpool tub, bidet, shower with multiple nozzles for massage and ceiling mounted “soaker” shower head.
It all depends on budget and priorities
