Painting

House painting may be considered by some as very easy think to do. But is it?

Good quality painting begins with proper preparation, which can consumed more time and effort than painting itself.

There are several steps to archive desired results.

Using masking tape, plastic sheets and drop clots we need to protected areas and surfaces not to be painted.

In some cases we have to remove old layers of paint or lacquer. This can be done using appropriate chemicals (paint remover) or mechanically just by sanding.

Very often sanding down walls and trim imperfections is required.

Filling, patching holes and cracks might be necessary and then sanding again.

On exterior we may use pressure washer to remove any loose paint and to clean surface properly.

One coat of primer/sealer will ensure adequate bonding of finish coat.

At least one coat of finish paint will complete the project.
